Here's a nice book stack of antique Hardcover books for crime junkies! Written by S.S. Van Dine aka Willard Huntington Wright in the 1920s. A unique group of red books featuring mystery stories from The Philo Vance Stories. Add these to your book nook for an instant library. You could also use them as a fun stack of vintage books for your bookshelf decor. All books in this set are hardcovers in a red or burgundy color (please note there is variation in the red color in the books).

Condition: There is some wear on the edges, but the books are in good condition overall.

History: Our shop has a fun story associated with these books and others in our shop. They were all found on our recently purchased homestead in various places on the property. Some in the house that dates back to 1830 and others in an old school bus used for storage. The bus is packed with books, and exploring inside is quite an adventure. Walking by the bus, you can smell the lovely old book (library smell.) The property owners from the early 1940s or 1990s (Marvin & Beatrice) were avid readers and curated an amazing collection of books. I read many of them before passing on, but I simply don't have the time for the hundreds of books here. I hope that by listing them in our shop, many people worldwide can enjoy Marvin & Bea's collection of books!
